This Privacy Policy explains how IQ.Lvbs LLC, a part of Project Teal Lvbs Inc ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use IQ.Lvbs products and services, including Konn3kt and the IQ.Lvbs Shop. IQ.Lvbs develops hardware and software for openpilot-compatible devices. Konn3kt is a web-based dashboard for managing those devices, owned and operated by IQ.Lvbs.

Important Notice: IQ.Lvbs and Konn3kt are independent, third-party platforms. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to comma.ai, Inc. openpilot is open-source software maintained by comma.ai under the MIT license. Our use of openpilot compatibility does not imply any partnership or sponsorship.

By using any IQ.Lvbs product or service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in several categories depending on how you interact with IQ.Lvbs products and services.

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Username or display name
  • OAuth identifiers from third-party providers (GitHub, Google, or Apple) if you choose to log in through them
  • Profile information provided by OAuth providers (such as profile picture or name)

1.2 Device Information

When you pair or register an openpilot device, we collect:

  • Dongle ID (unique device identifier)
  • Device serial number
  • Device public keys used for authentication
  • Device type and hardware information

1.3 Location and Route Data

When your device uploads route data, we collect:

  • GPS coordinates and location history
  • Route recordings including timestamps and duration
  • Route metadata (start/end points, distance traveled)

1.4 Video and Route Files

Depending on your device settings and upload preferences, we may store:

  • Camera video files (front, driver, wide camera recordings)
  • Route log files (rlog, qlog, and related diagnostic files)
  • Snapshot images captured from your device

1.5 Device Telemetry

To display device status and diagnostics, we collect:

  • CPU and GPU temperatures
  • Storage usage and availability
  • Battery level and charging status

  • Online/offline status

1.8 Biometric Information Disclaimer

While Konn3kt may store driver-facing video files at your direction, we do not scan, extract, process, or store biometric identifiers or biometric information (such as face geometry or face prints) from these files. We do not use facial recognition technology. Our processing of video files is limited strictly to storage and playback functionality.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information from the following sources:

  • Directly from you: When you create an account, adjust settings, or submit information through our platform.
  • From your devices: When paired openpilot devices upload telemetry, routes, or files to Konn3kt.
  • From OAuth providers: When you authenticate using GitHub, Google, or Apple, we receive basic profile information they provide.
  • Automatically: Through cookies, server logs, and analytics when you interact with our platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide our services: Pair and manage your devices, display dashboards, stream live video, store and play back routes, enable navigation dispatch, and process hardware purchases through the IQ.Lvbs Shop.
  • Authenticate you: Verify your identity, manage sessions, and secure access via SSH keys.
  • Enable sharing features: Allow you to share routes publicly or with specific users based on your preferences.
  • Communicate with you: Send service-related notifications, respond to support requests, and provide updates about IQ.Lvbs products and services.
  • Improve our platform: Analyze usage patterns, troubleshoot issues, and develop new features.
  • Ensure security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access through audit logs and monitoring.

6.2 Service Providers and Subprocessors

We use third-party services to operate IQ.Lvbs products and services, including:

  • Mapbox and/or OSRM: For navigation and mapping services (location data is transmitted when you use navigation dispatch)
  • OAuth providers (GitHub, Google, Apple): For authentication
  • Cloudflare CDN: For video streaming (HLS) and file delivery
  • Payment Processors: To securely process payments and manage subscriptions (e.g., Stripe)
  • Analytics providers: To understand usage patterns (if applicable)

We self-host our servers today. If we offer self-hostable node products in the future, those will run in your environment. We require service providers to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

6.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

6.4 Business Transfers

If IQ.Lvbs LLC or Teal Lvbs Inc is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Specific retention periods include:

  • Account information: Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion to handle any disputes or legal requirements.
  • Route and video files: Retained according to your settings or until you delete them. We may offer automatic deletion after a configurable period.
  • Telemetry and logs: Retained for operational and security purposes, typically for 90 days to 1 year depending on the data type.
  • Audit logs: Retained for security and compliance purposes, typically for 1 to 3 years.

8. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • End-to-end encryption for all stored files and personal data at rest
  • Your encrypted data is only accessible by you unless you explicitly choose to share it

No system is completely secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access: You can access most of your data directly through the Konn3kt dashboard or IQ.Lvbs Shop, including your account information, devices, routes, and files.
  • Correction: You can update your account information through your profile settings.
  • Deletion: You can delete individual routes, files, and devices through the dashboard. To delete your entire account and associated data, contact us at [email protected].
  • Data Portability: You can download your route files (rlog, qlog, video) directly from the platform.
  • Opt-Out: You can disconnect OAuth providers and use alternative login methods. You can disable optional data sharing features. You can revoke device access or unpair devices at any time.
  • Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your settings or contacting us.
  • Complaints: If you believe we have violated your privacy rights, you may file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. International Data Transfers

IQ.Lvbs products and services are operated from the State of Illinois, United States.
